Meet the Team

Jo Cook
Business Manager EFT Practitioner & Massage Therapist
I joined Radcliffe Chiropractic Clinic as Business Manager in June 2009. Chiropractic found me about four years ago in Essex as I had been suffering from headaches and wanted a more natural approach to my health and wellbeing. Soon after visiting my Chiropractor, I applied for a position as a Chiropractic Assistant. My previous experiences in retail and banking management coupled with my interest in business development and coaching, meant that this was the perfect position for me to pursue my new found passion and knowledge.
After seeing the benefits Chiropractic was having on my lifestyle, my family and friends soon started coming in for consultations and having Chiropractic care as part of their healthy lifestyle plans.
My own development soon meant that I wanted to do more than just educate those coming through the door, I wanted to coach and develop other Chiropractic Assistants. Since then, I have spoken at conferences and trained front desk teams in other clinics around the country. I have also trained in Emotional Freedom Technique and various types of massage.
Ruth Doughty
Clinic Assistant
For almost ten years I had suffered from increasing pains in my back, knees, right shoulder and daily headaches. I tried physiotherapy and osteopathy, which helped for a while, but my problems kept returning. I was also taking prescription painkillers to simply get through the day.
Having seen an advertisement for an Open Day at RCC, I called in and was offered a complimentary spinal check. The scans were very colourful and revealed the underlying causes of my many problems. I was told I could be helped, but would need intensive chiropractic care to begin with. After several months I progressed onto Wellness adjustments, was living virtually pain-free, and not relying on medication. I now enjoy both my job here at RCC and a healthier lifestyle.
Ed Groenhart
Doctor of Chiropractic & Clinic Director
I came into chiropractic after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Physiology at the Medical School at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Having decided to use my new qualification as a springboard into a promising new profession, I enrolled on the Master’s Chiropractic course at the University of Surrey, Guildford. In 2001, after five and a half years’ study I was finally able to register as a chiropractor.
I am now a member of the United Chiropractic Association, a trainer for the College of Chiropractors and have full registration in Australia as well as the UK. I have spent time working in practices around the south-east of England, as well as in New South Wales, Australia. I also enjoyed travelling the country along with New Zealand and South America.
I have been lucky enough to work with some amazing chiropractors in recent years, and have a special interest in Chiropractic for sportspeople and children. As a result of this I have worked at events all over Europe, and have had the pleasure of helping elite athletes such as boxers, triathletes, ice skaters and badminton players of all ages and abilities achieve their goals. My outside interests also revolve around sports – I am a keen touch rugby player and enjoy running: I have run over five half-marathons, and the London and New York Marathons in 1999 and 2002 respectively. Naturally I receive chiropractic adjustments (as well as other therapies) regularly as part of my healthy lifestyle.
Steve Hunter
Tui Na Massage Therapist & Acupuncturist
After many years working as a driver for Nottingham City Transport, I decided that a change of career was in order. My experience as a martial arts instructor fuelled my interest and passion not only for therapies that would aid sports performance, but for traditional Chinese medicine as well.
I set out to learn the art of Tui Na massage (Traditional Chinese Massage) which is applied to the patient while fully clothed. Using this technique has enabled me to help a full range of people from young to old. I have worked with many athletes including a large number of ice skaters from at the national ice centre.
I have recently included Thai massage into my portfolio, along with Indonesian massage and Acupuncture. Working alongside the Chiropractors and other therapists at Radcliffe Chiropractic Clinic enables me to assist patients in their overall wellness plan and help them to lead a healthier lifestyle.
Leanne Smith
Clinic Assistant/ Aromatherapist/ Massage Therapist
I qualified as a beauty therapist in June 2006, and worked as a mobile therapist for two years before moving to a hotel in Derby to work in their Spa.
I joined the Radcliffe Chiropractic Clinic as a Chiropractic/Clinic Assistant in July 2009 and as Aromatherapist in July 2011.
Through the past I have suffered from migraines and fainting spells, but it wasn’t until I started to have Chiropractic adjustments for some slight lower back pain, that I also noticed a reduction in the appearance of my migraines.
By combining my passion for Aromatherapy and my regular Chiropractic care, I now enjoy a healthier lifestlye.
Auria Young
Doctor of Chiropractic
Hi, my name is Auria and I have recently joined the team at the Radcliffe Chiropractic Clinic.
From a young age my passion for healing began and I decided this was the path I wanted to take. I first started out as a holistic therapist and learned many different skills. This sparked my enthusiasm further and made me want to learn more; through this I found chiropractic and felt this was a perfect addition to my skills.
I then studied at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic for four years before finally registering as a chiropractor in 2010. I am now a member of the United Chiropractic Association and the General Chiropractic Council.
My outside interests involve sports such as climbing, acrobatics and cycling, I often spend my free time trying out new sports I have not done before or in the gym.
I also enjoy learning more about holistic therapies and chiropractic and like to keep my mind active reading journals and recent articles in those fields. I am also receiving regular chiropractic to keep me in tip top condition.
I look forward to meeting with you.
Charlotte Taylor
Chiropractic Assistant
I am studying geography, biology, and sociology A levels as I have a keen interest in natural sciences and the environment. I love anything Mother Nature has to offer! I am also very creative and enjoy photography, writing poetry and prose, and art as hobbies.
I joined Radcliffe Chiropractic Clinic in September 2011 as a Chiropractic Assistant, where I have furthered my knowledge of chiropractic well-being and health. Prior to joining the RCC team I was suffering from severe migraine headaches which interfered in my daily activities. I am receiving regular chiropractic adjustments and advice on neck and back stretches to relax my muscles and reduce my headaches.
After experiencing the natural and holistic approach to healing at the clinic I am loving a healthier life and encouraging others to follow this path.
