Chiropractic
How can chiropractic help me?
It can help by restoring the body to work to its optimal level, without the need for surgery or drugs. A balanced body can ensure the muscles, tissues and organs (especially the spine) work correctly.
What problems can chiropractic help?
Chiropractic can help with many varied problems including back and joint pains, migraine headaches, postural problems and sports injuries.
What is the difference between chiropractic, osteopathy and physiotherapy?
Chiropractors work with the nervous system, are specifically trained to detect and correct spinal problems. Chiropractors can also take and interpret x-rays. Chiropractors adjust specific joints of the body, whereas others manipulate. Because of this chiropractors tend to help younger and older (more fragile) spines. Even pregnant women.
Are you private, or do you do NHS?
We are a private clinic, but do receive referrals from GPs. Should you have private medical insurance we will be happy to print out receipts for you to claim from your insurance company. (We don't deal direct with insurance companies).
Do I get treatment on my first visit?
The doctor will give you any emergency care or advice necessary to make you more comfortable. He will need to analyze your scans and write a report first to decide on the appropriate course of care before starting treatment.
How long do treatments last?
Your chiropractor will spend as long as they need to: Visits are usually 10-15 minutes. Longer appointments are scheduled periodically for re-assessment.
Does it hurt?
No, but there may rarely be some minor discomfort as parts of the body begin moving correctly as care begins to get your body moving correctly. It's a bit like starting out at the gym!
I've had chiropractic before - why do I have to go through all this when I just want treatment?
You may have had chiropractic before, but the chiropractors here haven't seen you before. It's essential that they carry out their own examination for your own safety, so that you receive the most appropriate care.
Are you McTimoney chiropractors?
No, McT chiropractors undergo different training: All chiropractors here have had over 4 years of training and experience, and are General Chiropractic Council registered.
Will I need to keep coming in for treatment?
Just like going to the dentist/optician, it's beneficial to come in periodically for a check-up to keep your body working well. Patients who do this tend to stay better for longer.
Hopi Ear Candles
What are Hopi Ear Candles?

Aromatherapy is the art of using essential oils extracted from plants, fruits, vegetables and herbs to help the body restore its inner balance and allow the organs and systems of the body to function at 100%.
The properties in the essential oils are then used by the body to restore the inner balance in a similar way that food is converted into energy in the body.
